Objectives
This program addresses the specific requirements underASME B30 and the latest OSHA standard, 29CFR part1926, that personnel need to know and understand to beaccepted as qualified riggers and qualified signal persons.Written examinations will test their basic knowledge leveland the practical examinations will verify the hands-oncapabilities of each participant in hand and voice signaloperations.Who Should AttendAny staff that supervise, inspect or participate in rigging orhoisting operations while using cranes, heavy equipment,truck cranes, or other equipment. The course is aimed atproviding individuals with the knowledge and skills to prepareand to rig the load for safe lifting by any form of lifting equipment using correct and clear signals to guide the crane operator in the maneuvering of a load safely to its destination.You Will LearnAll personnel completing the program, and successfullycompleting all written and practical examinations, receivea certificate of training as both a qualified rigger and asa qualified signal person. Individual written and practicalexaminations must be successfully completed in order toreceive a certificate as a qualified rigger and/or a qualifiedsignal person.

Pre-registration is required. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least three business days prior to the course start date. Invoicing will be sent after course completion and companies will be billed for all registrants. Companies/Registrants who do not cancel at least three days prior to class start will be charged the entire class fee.
The AGC of South Dakota has the right to cancel a course within three business days of scheduled class start, or reschedule any classes due to low enrollment or other circumstances beyond our control.
